We’re running into serious snags with EP version 8 when modeling PV systems for new residential projects.

The basic house compliance is fine, often much better than the allowable EDR but the EDRpv is consistently short of compliance despite an adequately sized PV system, battery.   And no changes to the PV system has any impact on improving the EDRpv score.   Anyone coming across this dilemma?  Any resources for guidance on PV modeling in EPv8?

have you checked the boxes for your PV systems? 3 choices… try size PV for target EDR and set target EDR to 0. Does that change anything?

For me it does change the report. It consistently states “• Standard Design PV Capacity: 3.43 kWdc
    • Proposed PV kWh output exceeds proposed electricity use by 60% which may violate NEM rules. Contact local utility.
    • Proposed PV system increased to 6.09 kWdc (a factor of 6.087) to approach target EDR (but capped @ 1.6 x prop design elec use)”
